Why I Don’t Delete Images

Lori was having trouble with several of our old blogs. The images were not loading. I needed to look for an old image that I prepped back in 2009. So I dug out a backup drive and found the file. While looking for that image, I had a quick look through my Polar Bear trip files. I noticed several good images hadn't been picked as keepers. Ruffed Grouse

There were several great images that had been missed. It’s easy to do. I shoot thousands of images on a trip like this. When going through them, it is easy to miss something. You get tired and start to glaze over. Plains Bison

It costs a bit more to back up every image. It takes more time too. But not only does it give me an opportunity to go back and look for something I missed, it also is a part of my history. Even if some of the images are not my best, they do bring back memories and document my journey. Polar Bears Nuzzling

I guess I will have to look through a few more old drives and see what else I have missed. Northern Hawk Owl

It's Been a Year

I taught my last class a year ago. It has taken this long to actually feel "retired". It has been a busy time. We are finally starting to slow down a bit. We love our new house and the town we live in. The New House

Things are starting to return to a bit more normal. We still wear masks when we shop but restaurant patios and many stores are now open.

Our deck is starting to take shape.

We hope to be able to do a few small trips in Ontario this summer. We will see how it goes. But even if we end up spending the summer close to home, I will be content to work here.
